Guild War Events feature actual combat between two guilds in a short war, earning Points with each battle victory in the war. The Guild with the most Points at the end of war is the winner, and will earn extra points towards Individual Ranking Rewards. from the second guild war onwards, participation within a war was necessary in order to gain the bonus points for winning the war.
Event Cycle Wars are fought in 30 minute segments with a 5 minute preparation time after declaring or being declared upon. Wars can only be declared within a specific time Cycle. A Cycle lasts for 1-3 hrs and wars may only be declared during that time, however if a war is declared just before the end of a cycle the war is allowed to run the full 35 minutes from preparation time to war completion time.
War Battle When engaged in a Guild War, you will only be able to attack players that are are members of the opposing Guild, and only members of the opposing Guild may attack you. Each battle waged with a player during a Guild War is thus considered a War Battle and may earn Event Points for your Guild. War battles may only be fought from the event page, if you go to the normal battle screen or search for a member of the opposing warring guild, you will be presented with a normal battle screen where the attack button is inactive and you can not attack the opposing guild member.
Points earned during a War will increase the War Grade of your Guild. The higher you raise your War Grade, the better rewards you can recieve. Your War Grade will be calculated and then reset at the end of each Event Cycle. You will only be able to fight other guilds within the same War Grade and your guild is only promoted or demoted to a different War Grade between Cycles.
In the first 2 guild wars, your Guild Leader chose 3 Guild members for temporary Officer positions, thereafter Officers were automatically assigned based on total points and total ATK DEF values:
- War Marshal
- In order to face an opponent Guild's War Marshal, you must first defeat both other officers:
- Assault Captain
- The first person to defeat an opponent's Guild's Assault Captain wins 500 bonus Points.
- Defense Captain
- The first person to defeat an opponent's Guild's Defense Captain wins 500 bonus Points.
From the third guild war event onwards, the 3 officer positions were assigned automatically based on the following criteria, the guild member with the highest total event points is the guild leader, the guild member with the highest attack deck value at the END of the previous cycle becomes the Assault Captain, and then the guild member with the highest defence deck value at the END of the previous cycle become the Defense Captain. If a member matches more than one of the criteria, they get assigned the highest position and are eliminated as a candidate for the remaining positions.
Note: Should any of the officers fail an attack on an opposing player, this counts as a defeat and the sucessful defender will receive the bonus points. Failing to defeat a wall does not count as a defeat for the purposes of awarding the bonus points.
